Paige and Cruiser aka cruise or "cruiseman" May, 2005
Dedication. Thank you Blake and Tyler for always challenging me to be better, faster and stronger than the average chick. Thank you mom and dad for always supporting my unpredictable creativity and various business ventures. Thank you friends for making my life fun! |
me I believe living life should equal loving life. Once I got a little older I discovered my infatuation for “equipment” specifically electronic/video gear. At about age 10 I had my first video camera and believe it or not the thing was actually waterproof. After recieving this gift from my parents I started making “underwater movies” everywhere we’d travel. A little later I got my next video camera and I started writing/producing my very own versions of “Wayne’s World” and “home cooking specials” with my best friend and partner in crime, Jessica. We spent long summer days recording these movies and after we were done I would edit them together into a finished product. A few years later (high school) I filmed everything me and my friends did and at the end of each year I put the clips and photos together with music to make a great “highlight film” of our experiences. Next came college where I had the opportunity to actually study the art I loved. I majored in photojournalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. It was here that I discovered my talent as a creative still photographer. It was also here that I discovered my love for photographing people. Since college I’ve continued to perfect my talent as I’ve explored southern California photographing everything from extreme sporting events to weddings. After a lot of positive response to my work I created Fresh Photography USA. As an athlete I love the rush of photographing sports because I know what it’s like to get that perfect photo of yourself “in the air” or stealing the ball. As a kid I remember my parents never really getting that moment so I pose this as a challenge and always strive for perfection in this area. As a romantic I love photographing couples in love because the interaction between them is so incredibly stimulating. As an artist I love portraits because it is a chance to take ordinary people and turn them into art. As a model, I've worked with International clients and I understand "what works" in the fashion industry. Fashion photography is wide open in that each job allows for a completely different experience from the one prior. This is exciting and it generates my high energy and unique creativity. Finally children. The most challenging, yet the most rewarding by far. They are so unpredictable yet so beautiful. They can be crying hysterically one moment and be laughing wildly the next. This is my favorite! So as you can see I’ve found a way to make a career out of something I love doing. A lot of people think this is impossible and see work as work and fun as fun separately. That is fine, but for me work is fun and life is good. Thank you for supporting my passion. Peace, Love,
